About the Crazy Toes & Heels group:

Can't wait to get this...after 100+ cuff down, I want to try toe up.  Your book comes highly recommended.  Thanks!  ...Janet

Cast-on this morning for my first top-up sock using Aloha cast-on and all of the little tricks in the book.
Hey.. It's easier than I thought it would be and it really looks like a sock toe... ;-) Now onward and upwards.

Well done, Mary, on a well written book.        Jerry

I am really impressed with this sock book.  I have just about every one that has been written lately,
but this one really intrigues me.  What a beautiful job you did putting it all together,  Mary Ann.   … Mary

Thank you, thank you!!!!  I REALLY appreciate your help.  On this and

oh so many other things that you aren't even aware of because I just

consult the wonderful book!!!  ...Andrea

Just a note to let you know that I rec'd your book and I can't wait to start reading it!  I haven't knitted but one pair of socks but I am

looking forward to knitting lots more, especially with such a wonderful tool as your book. I am a visual person and this book seems

to be the perfect "how to" with all the pictures and your wording is so easy to understand!

Thanks for a great book! Cheryl

Words fail me!  The work you put into that book!  I've never seen anything so comprehensive in all my life.
I am so glad that I bought it.  I will sing it's praises to all the knitters that I know.  I have put off trying toe
up socks for 4 years but the next pair I start will be toe up.  Have to finish 3 second socks first though.
If you were here I'd hug you!  Warmly,     Glenda

Just wanted to tell you that I received your Crazy Toes and Heels book and it is absolutely wonderful!
As a new sock knitter, it will be invaluable to me.  And how nice that the book was in the fabric bag,
just the right size for socks.  :>)  Thanks so much for writing this wonderful book!  ...Carole

Mary...   Your Great Book...
I know you are probably tired of hearing this but..... Your book is the best sock book I have ever seen!!!
Your instructions are easily understood and the pictures are a BIG help. I just wanted to let you know
how grateful I am for you and your book. I use the magic loop instead of dpns or two circulars and like
I said before your directions are VERY clear. Thanks again and keep up the good work!!!  Happy Knitting,  Jill ....

Thank you for such a great book.  I have learned so much and finally was
able to master the Kitchener stitch!  Barb

First off, thank you so much for the beautiful book.  I can't tell you how impressed I am.  I would like
to purchase another copy for my mother for Christmas.    Kindest regards,  Penny...

I received my order for your book last week and first, what a nice touch to put it in a useful fabric bag.
I am amazed at the amount of information I've learned and I'm only on page 20!  I love the directions
for the first stitch for the long tail cast on.  I've always used the slip stitch and I usually put it in 2 or 3
times before I accept that annoying little "bump."  No more bump!  Thanks for putting your knowledge
into book form and making it available.   Arlene...

Hi,  Just finished a pair of toe up socks w/short row heel. both on twocircs....I am overwhelmed by

MaryAnn,
I just got your book last week in the mail and I gotta' tell you, it  is just fabulous!  What great pics and good
step by step instructions, things that others don't think are necessary, and things that are difficult to know
how to do without actually "seeing" them illustrated.  You have truly outdone yourself and I wish you
continued success with sales of your wonderful book!  Laura

Mary Ann Beattie,

page!!!   I have just skimmed through it and it looks wonderful!!!!  NA
You have been very detailed in your instructions with lots of photos.
I"m really impressed.  I just started sock knitting this past May and am

out.
NA.  just very happy customer.  Ann

Things I LOVE about Crazy Toes and Heels -

(1)  The CAST-ON is really great.  All the others I tried were too fiddly and I ultimately was not satisfied with the results.  Yours was EASY and looks great.

(2) The PHOTOGRAPHS really help to visualize what you should be doing.  Most books fail to include good photos or illustrations.  Yours are fantastic.

(3)  When learning something new it is easy to tense up.  Your friendly WRITING STYLE sets a person at ease.

(4)  The HEEL is unique.  No gussets to pick up and yet it looks like a regular gusset/flap heel.

Now let me know when I can start singing the praises of Crazy Toes and Heels on all my knitting lists!  I can't wait to brag on it.  :)   Merrily Knitting Along... Jeannie
